In its fourth year, San Diego Restaurant Week was launched with the intention of spotlighting the city as a premier dining destination. Restaurant Week is excited to have on its line up of participating restaurants and chefs some of the country’s hottest young and established chefs. Celebrity chefs include Executive Chef Brian Malarkey of Oceanaire Seafood Room, Chef de Cuisine Gavin Kaysen of El Bizcocho Restaurant and Bernard Guillas of Marine Room. When: June 22 to 27, 2008 Where: Participating restaurants within the entire San Diego County Why: Organized by the California Restaurant Association (CRA) San Diego chapter in partnership with the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau and San Diego Magazine, Restaurant Week gives local food aficionados and visitors an opportunity to enjoy special three-course, prix fixe menus from more than 130 participating restaurants throughout San Diego County. The six-day culinary events will give local patrons and visitors alike the opportunity to explore the city’s diverse array of dining experiences. Participating restaurants span the entire county from Oceanside to Coronado to Rancho Bernardo, offering guests incredible dining values while showcasing specialty dishes and highlighting popular items from their menus. Cost: $30 or $40 per person (tax, beverage and gratuity are not included)
