Pit Bull Terrier - Medium - Young - Male - Dog - Junior
Description
This sweet, soulful boy was quite literally moments away from taking his last breath when he lucked into a (nonexistent) spot at Just A Dog. When Junior found himself alone on the streets it was shortly before the 4th of July. After spending several days waiting to be claimed, the holiday crush hit the shelter, and there was no more time or kennel space left for Junior. With rescues pushed to their limits and unable to fit him in, the staff had no alternative but to schedule his euthanasia. We happened to be at the shelter on what would have been his last day, and the staff pleaded for an option for him. The best we could offer was a compassion hold for him and they jumped at it. After spending just a short while with Junior, we knew that while no foster spot really existed, we would have to figure something out. Junior is a mellow sort, he has his moments of crazy, zoomie fun but he is by no means a high energy dog. He is sweet and gentle with people (of course!). He likes to rest his big ol head on you, cause it gets heavy to carry around all the timeJunior is about 2 years old, dog tolerant, and may be able to live with a dog savvy cat
