We must have an application from you in order to answer any questions. Ricky is a shih tzu mix, 8 yrs young, weighs 9 lbs. He is visually and hearing impaired, and just a really special guy that deserves a second chance! He was rescued from a shelter where he would have been kill due to his special needs. We found a wonderful caring foster where he is doing well and living fine with his foster shih tzu siblings. He is such a cuddly guy that loves human companionship and would also like a mild mannered small doggy friend as well. Ricky's bark is so cute because it sounds like a duck! He is doing at navigating the foster home with his sense of smell and movement -- he's very smart! Because of his special challenges, Ricky is looking for a quiet, easy going home where his humans are home a lot. He needs puppy pads as he cannot always hold it if you are away or during the night. His home should be easy for him to get around and one level would be best. No swimming pools unless you are able to watch him ALL of the time. He is a very special guy that will give you kisses of gratitude! Ricky is neutered and is UTD on shots. Do you want Ricky to be your friend? Just contact us to meet him.All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such the individuals most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog would be the family that they have been living with! We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information. All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and UTD on shots before adoption. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period, during which time the adoption fee is fully refundable if the dog is returned. At the end of the 2 week FTA period, a volunteer will do a home visit to finalize the adoption. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog, but generally range from $150 - $200.
