Our client, a leading medical device firm seeks a Product Lifecycle Manager with Business Analyst or Cost Accounting background.

Work on roll-out of global data governance project and maintenance for Product Lifecycle Management and Product Data Management activities.

This position is data focused. Client prefers background in PLM or manufacturing, production scheduling, manufacturing accounting, BOM / routing, Cost Accounting or a Financial Business Analyst. The initial position is data focused project management with opportunity to move into people management.

Initially, this position is responsible for the migration of item data from multiple ERP systems into a global single instance of Oracle eBusiness Suite R12.

The PLM Manager will:
* Lead business initiatives related to data clean-up, de-duplication of records, SKU rationalization, new part number introduction and updates to legacy item data.
* Develop standard nomenclature for all items globally and manage item data conversions for the business.
* Manage item data conversions for future business mergers and acquisitions.
* Have strong analytical/problem solving skills
* Ability to craft a global vision for the future state of PLM control

Following project based global rollout of eBS, position transitions to a business role responsible for administering systems and procedures to control company key master data as well as manage item data conversions for future business mergers and acquisitions. Item data includes both Master and Organizational defined item categories, product attributes, bills of material and direct labor routings in support of FDA regulated medical manufacturing. Acting in a corporate global role, indirectly oversee, support and audit the activity of offsite item data entry performed both in the United States and Internationally.
ORACLE PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES

(NOTE: Oracle experience is a strong plus and the client is willing to train)

· Lead and perform fit/gap analysis between current business processes and revised global processes to manage product master data (such as item master, BOM, and routing information).
· Lead all aspects of analysis and clean-up of legacy product master data, and the conversions into the new ERP system.
· Orchestrate robust functional testing to validate the processes for managing product master data.
· Lead Change Management activities including Documentation and Training on Business Process




FUTURE BUSINESS RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsibility for Product life-cycle data collection. Work closely with various cross functional corporate departments.
· Define and enforce Item Master, BOM, and routing Configuration Management procedures. Improve and maintain global documentation associated with product information.
· Own key metrics for the efficiency of the new product introduction and end of life processing
· Deploying engineer changes to update existing data in alignment with documented quality control procedures.


REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
o 5+ years experience in Configuration Management, Product Data Management, and/or Engineering Processes including Manufacturing or Cost Accounting
o 3+ years experience with Oracle E-Business Suite ENG, BOM, and MFG modules strongly desired.
o Knowledge of the Medical Device industry preferred.

Competency:
o Business Process Analyst or Cost Accounting experience in manufacturing environment.
o Strong functional knowledge of PDM document management systems (like Agile or similar applications). NOTE: Client will train in AGILE.
o Previous business leadership role in a full lifecycle Product Lifecycle Management system implementation strongly desired.
o Solid Product Lifecycle and Engineering business process background.
o Extremely organized with strong sense of priority, urgency and commitment to deadlines.
o Communication, and Project Management skills to define world processes.


Travel: Some travel will be required as the system is eventually being rolled out to 18 facilities.

Compensation: $70 – 95K with a bonus structure. Client may consider candidates at higher salary level.
